How to use
Replace your Ecofiltro Filter Unit every 2 years to keep your system working at its best.
- Keep the filter unit sealed in its protective bag until you are ready to install it
- Remove the old filter unit from your Ecofiltro and repurpose or discard it
- Place the new filter unit into the upper reservoir of your Ecofiltro
- Pour tap water gently over the filter unit to begin the first filtration cycle
- During the first 2–5 days, filtration may be slower and the water may have a slight earthy/clay taste
- This earthy taste is normal and safe to drink, but you can run 2–3 full cycles and discard that water or use it for plants if you prefer to remove the taste
- Once the taste normalizes, the filter is ready for regular use
- Clean the filter every 3–6 months using only filtered water and a clean soft sponge
- Never use soap, bleach, or abrasive materials on the filter
- Replace every 2 years for continued purification performance
